The Panels
Solar panels are made using semiconductor-grade polysilicon that can be produced in a few different colors, commonly dark blue. Our panels are triple-black, meaning they’re made using black cells, a black backseat, and black frame. This gives them a sleek modern look that blends into your roof, making them appear more like a part of your initial design.

The Racking
Racking is what secures the panels to your roof. There are several different types of racking, but Vivint Solar installations use a non-rail system. Rail systems tend to extend beyond the modules themselves. Non-rail systems can more effectively hide the racking underneath the panels, creating a more clean and simple look. Non-rail systems are more difficult to install but it’s a step we take because we want your system to always look as good as it operates.
The Skirt
Finally, each of our systems includes a skirt. This simple addition is the final touch to helping your panels blend in with your roof. The skirt hangs across the front, allowing your system to become an extension of your tiles and hiding all the components that keep your system secure. This approach complements the modern and simple design of the entire setup.
