Downloading and using the Vivint Solar app

Tracking your solar production is super simple with the Vivint Solar App for Apple or Android. With it you can monitor your solar energy production down to the hour, day, week, month, or year. You can also see how much carbon you’ve offset, connect to your Nest login, and quickly contact our customer care team if you need help.

1. From your smartphone, tap the link for Apple or Android.
  1. Locate and tap on the icon to get the Vivint Solar App.
  1. Tap the app to open it and log in. Use your email address and password to log in. If you haven’t already registered, check out Registering for Account Center.

That’s it! If you’re successful, you should see a screen that looks something like this:

How can I check to see if my solar panels are working?

To check if your panels are producing solar energy, simply download the Vivint Solar energy app for Apple or Android. If, after logging in, you don’t see your production data, check out Troubleshooting my Vivint Solar system (my system is not producing).

I’m having trouble with the app. What should I do?

If you can’t see your energy production data in the app or are having trouble accessing it, try these simple steps.

1. Tap “Settings.”
  1. Tap “Log Out.”
  1. Confirm “Log Out”
  1. Remove the Vivint Solar app from your mobile device.

  1. Go to your web browser and log in to Account Center.

  1. Remove and re-add your account.

In the upper right-hand corner of Account Center, next to your home address, hover your cursor over the drop-down arrow.

  1. Click “Manage Accounts.”

Now pause for a moment and write down the account number (in bold) because you’ll need it later.

  1. Under “Remove Existing Account,” click the X. (Don’t worry, it’s not permanent.)
  1. Click “OK” to confirm that you’re removing the account.

  2. Click “Register One Now.”

  1. Enter account number.

Remember in Step 3. when we had you write down that number in bold? Enter it into the “Account Number” field and fill in your zip code.

  1. When your account information pulls up, hover your cursor over the drop-down arrow again and click “Log out.”

  2. Wait five minutes and then try downloading and logging into the Vivint Solar App again.
