Accessing and using Account Center

Account Center is an online portal that you can use to review your Vivint Solar production. It allows you to see things like how far along you are in the activation process, how much power your panels are generating, how your clean energy is making a positive impact on the environment, and gives you access to the billing portal so you can monitor your payments.

How do I register for Account Center

If you are registering for the first time, follow these steps:
  1. Go to Account Center.
  1. Click “Need an account?”
  1. Fill out your information and click “Register.”
  1. Check for a confirmation email to finish the setup.
  1. Once you finish setting up your account, log in to Account Center and click “Register One Now.” (If it pops up, click on the “Manage My Account” button.)
  1. Now click “Register One Now” and enter your account number (also known as your service number) and zip code.

Your service number is usually seven digits long and can be found on your agreement, or in recent email from Vivint Solar.

That’s it! If you did it correctly, you should see an overview of your solar production page. For more information, check out Registering for Account Center

I’m having trouble accessing Account Center. What should I do?

If you can’t log in to your account center, you can use the “forgot your password” option on the login page. For more details about how to do that, check out Forgot account center password.

If you’ve tried to reset your password but still can’t see your confirmation email, check out Help with Account Center for steps on how to fix that.

My energy production isn’t showing up in Account Center. What do I do?

No worries. Just check out Troubleshooting my Vivint Solar System (my system is not producing). It goes over what to check for if you’re having trouble seeing your energy production.

How long will it take before my solar energy system is active and producing energy?

Before it can start producing energy, we must first activate your solar energy system. You can see which step of the solar journey you’re on by logging into your dashboard via Account Center or the Vivint Solar App for Apple or Android. Until we activate your solar energy system, you’ll see a little tracker that will show you where you are in the solar journey and what steps we have yet to complete. It should look something like this:

SolarJourney

There are several steps in the journey to clean energy, and our expert teams work diligently with your municipality and utility company to ensure that everything is in order before activating your system. Depending on where you live and your utility provider, this can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. By logging in to your dashboard, you’ll be able to see how the system is progressing and what you can do to help make the process smoother.

How do I activate my solar energy system?

Once you’ve received permission to activate the solar energy system, you’ll receive an email detailing the activation steps. If you’re not comfortable going through the steps yourself, or if you did go through these steps and still don’t see a change in system production, Contact Us and we’ll look into it for you. Until then, log in to Account Center or the Vivint Solar App for Apple or Android to track the status of your solar journey.

How can I check my solar energy production?

Once your system has been activated, you will be able to view your energy production in either the Vivint Solar Account Center or the Vivint Solar App for Apple or Android. There you can filter production data by day, week, month or year. For more information, check out System production data not available in Account Center.
